After 4 guesses, the ❌ marks will turn yellow if the incorrect guess is in the same continent as the correct answer. After an additional, guess, the ❌ marks will turn green if the incorrect guess is in the same subcontinent as the correct answer.

We used Wikipedia to get the list of ccTLDs we used in this game. The continental and subcontinental groupings were subjectively defined and chosen and can be viewed here.
